Pitbull’s, or in my Staffordshire Terrier’s, have always been friends to humans and are a huge benefit to our health and well-being. Imagine you had an exhausting, long day at work and arrive home tired and exhausted. But there is your happy pup with a wagging tail and a big smile as you open the door. For me this is easily one of the best Benefits of Owning a Pitbull
5 Benefits of Owning a Pitbull
Here are some benefits of caring for a dog. My dog pictured above is Staffordshire Terrier and she is awesome!
1. You get more exercise
Dogs are generally lively and love to play. As a dog owner, you want to indulge them in activities that are fun, like jogging in the park or chasing a ball playing fetch. In the process, you get to work out too!
2. You are happier
Research shows that dog owners are more likely to have increased levels of dopamine and serotonin, our body’s feel-good neurotransmitters. As a result, you are likely to feel less depressed with a dog in your home.
3. A sense of safety
This is a significant benefit of owning a dog. Because dogs form natural attachments to their owners, as if in a pack, your new dog instinctively will protect you from intruders or unfamiliar faces. Of course this is somewhat dependent on the breed but most dogs will try to protect their owners.
4. Great companions
They are the best animals to serve as a company if you are recuperating from an illness. Since they are easy to train, they often serve as companion dogs to aid people with disabilities or can benefit from some unconditional emotional support.
5. Dogs are heart-healthy
Studies have shown that talking or touching a dog can cause your blood pressure to reduce. This, coupled with increased exercise, ultimately reduces the chances of heart disease. Perhaps one prominent feature that makes them so endearing is their ability to feel your mood. They automatically make you feel better with their unconditional love! Plus, they’re adorable and fluffy!
